Le MCO est heureux de collaborer avec la Société Pro-Musica pour ce concert mettant en vedette deux jeunes lauréats du Concours Musical International de Montréal : la violoniste Bomsori Kim et le pianiste Serhiy Salov. Vous les entendrez dans des oeuvres de virtuoses : The Cupid’s Quandary pour violon d’Alexander Brott ainsi que le Concerto pour piano et orchestre à cordes d’Alfred Schnittke, suivis du rarement présenté Concerto pour violon, piano et cordes de Felix Mendelssohn. Le concert, dirigé par le directeur artistique du MCO Boris Brott, présentera également La jeune fille et la mort de Schubert arrangée pour orchestre à cordes par Gustav Mahler. Un entracte avec cocktails et bouchées saura ajouter une touche gastronomique à ces joyaux musicaux.

The MCO is thrilled to collaborate with Société Pro-Musica in a concert featuring two exciting young prizewinners of the Concours Musical International de Montréal: violinist Bomsori Kim and pianist Serhiy Salov. The program features each artist in virtuosic works: Alexander Brott’s The Cupid’s Quandary for violin and Alfred Schnittke’s Concerto for Piano and Strings, followed by a performance of the rarely heard Concerto for Violin, Piano and Strings by Felix Mendelssohn. The concert, conducted by the MCO’s Music Director Boris Brott, will also feature the astonishing MCO in a performance of Schubert’s Death and the Maiden in an arrangement for strings by Gustave Mahler. An intermission with cocktails and appetizers will add a gastronomic delight to the musical gems and make this event a feast for the palate and auditory senses.
