The Concours musical international de Montréal (CMIM) is an internationally renowned competition presenting the best classical musicians of the new generation. A major event on Montreal’s cultural calendar, the CMIM is a high-profile showcase that shapes the future of the classical music scene by offering its laureates invaluable visibility and professional opportunities.
Since 2002, the CMIM has welcomed annually, in turn, singers, violinists, and pianists. The competitors measure themselves against their peers, performing before a jury of classical music luminaries and music lovers in Montreal, as well as online around the world. From May 25 to June 6, 2025, the Voice 2025 edition brings together 24 exceptional singing artists for a unique musical and emotional adventure.
McGill-UdeM Piano-Vocal Arts Residency is a one-of-a-kind program designed for high-level pianists who specialize in collaborating and working with singers. A unique partnership between the Schulich School of Music of McGill University and the Faculté de musique de l’Université de Montréal, this full-time, nine-month intensive program runs annually from September to May, welcoming a small group of elite pianists from Canada and abroad.
Collaborating with singers from both universities, and under the guidance of co-directors Michael McMahon and Francis Perron, resident pianists also benefit from classes by renowned guest artists such as Helmut Deutsch, Margo Garrett, Pierre Vallet and James Vaughan.

Founded in 1990 by soprano Pauline Vaillancourt, Chants Libres is an opera company committed to innovation and research-creation. Since 2022, it has been led by mezzo-soprano Marie-Annick Béliveau, who continues to explore new vocal techniques and collaborate with artists from various disciplines.
With nineteen original works and over thirty years of experience, Chants Libres fosters talent and promotes contemporary opera. Its productions have toured internationally, from Venezuela to the Netherlands, earning a strong reputation on the global operatic stage. The Musicians’ Clinics of Canada was founded in 1985 and is headed up by Audiologist Dr. Marshall Chasin.
